Christmas in Texas: Spicy Sangria Punch!

Craig Sharry | December 6, 2010
No comments

TexasChristmas There’s nothing like a big punchbowl full of sparkling red sangria to give a holiday air to the room!

I’ve posted before about adding various pepper jellies to your punch bowl to “spice up” the punch. Today, however, I’m passing along a tip I got from my kids. Don’t worry; they’re over 21!

Fill your punch bowl with soft red wine, and cut up several different kinds of citrus fruits, apples, grapes, and pretty much any fruit except bananas. Use bananas, even, if you want to.

Then, spoon out the entire contents of a 5-oz jar of Texas Pepper Jelly into the wine, and mix well with a whisk. Don’t include the floating fruit in this process. Add some cranberry juice and as much sparkling water as you want, and some frozen dollops of Cranberry Habanero pepper jelly, and stand back.

Be sure you’ve got enough cups. Everybody in the house will want a second helping.

P.S. Keep out of reach of children.

Texas Pepper Jelly: The Most NONboring Gift EVER!

TexasChristmas Why give an ordinary, boring gift when you can give Texas Pepper Jelly as a gift?

Socks and ties are so boring, and so ordinary. Anybody can think of socks and ties. Candles, mugs, and knick-knacks are boring, too.

Why not give your family and friends something out of the ordinary, something NOT boring in the least, this year? Everybody loves to eat, right? So, why not give people the gift of Texas Pepper Jelly this year?

Besides, good socks cost more than good pepper jelly. Texas Pepper Jelly has lots of awesome gift ideas that don’t cost much at all! We’ve even got gift assortments, and we let you choose your own flavors! No other company gives you that option!

This year, be cooler than everybody else. Spend less, and give better gifts. You can do this at Texas Pepper Jelly, right on this page of goodies!

There’s not a thing on that page that’s expensive, and you’ll get it before Christmas.

Christmas in Texas: Texas Pepper Jelly Gift Tins

Thanksgiving is over, and it’s official: the holiday season is now upon us!

Texas Pepper Jelly products are ideal for any occasion, whether you’re hosting a big family reunion, TexasChristmasa party, or just sitting around by yourself watching TV! Everyone who came to my house this Thanksgiving – and I hosted three separate family reunions here – raved about the appetizers I’d set out, all of them featuring Texas Pepper Jelly in some form or another. Actually, the favorite appetizer was the simplest: pour some pepper jelly over a block of cream cheese and dip crackers into it!

The reaction of my guests was so strongly positive that I’m giving them Texas Pepper Jelly for Christmas this year. Those gift tins are just too good to pass by!

Now, with most companies’ offerings of “assortments” of their product, the choice isn’t the customers’ choice. The selections of product are made in-house and the customer chooses the assortment that comes closest to his/her personal wants.

It’s not like that with Texas Pepper Jelly. On our gift page, we offer several nice assortments, but YOU get to pick what kind of pepper jelly or salsa you want in there.

Some people request one of each; that’s cool with us. Some people have a single favorite and request many of one kind; that’s cool with us, too. The point is, YOU are in charge of the kind of pepper jelly that comes in your gift assortment! That means, every single jar will be one you especially wanted!

Why not click on over to the Texas Pepper Jelly Gift Packages page and check them out. They’re not expensive, either!!!

Don’t forget our holiday flavors when you choose your assortments; a jar or two of Cranberry Habanero and/or Strawberry Rhubarb Habanero will make your assortment even more festive!

Texas Tips: Cranberry Habanero & Strawberry Rhubarb Habanero: Get ‘Em While You Can!

Craig Sharry | November 24, 2010
No comments

texaspepperjellytips Oh, who DOESN’T love holiday specialties? You know, those limited-edition products that are available only for a brief time and then they’re gone, gone until it’s holiday time again!

Texas Pepper Jelly has two fabulous holiday flavors, available for a very brief time: Cranberry TexasChristmasHabanero, and Strawberry Rhubarb pepper jellies. My advice to all of you is simple: order a lot, for yourself and for your friends, because both flavors are available for a very limited time, and a year is an awful long time to wait for such treats!

Therefore, stock up for yourself, and buy some for family and friends. This is both a generous, loving act, and a desperate act of self preservation, because these two holiday flavors are so yummy good, it’s vital that we share it, and also because if we don’t make a gift of a jar or two to our family and friends, they’ll swipe ours.

Yes, it’s THAT GOOD!

Texas Tips: Pepper Jelly and Cream Cheese. Always.

Craig Sharry | November 23, 2010

texaspepperjellytips Thanksgiving is this Thursday, y’all, and if you’re the cook in your home, your head is no doubt swimming with ideas for The Dinner. I know mine is!

Before anyone ever starts in on the main meal, however, there are the crackers and dips to consider, and I’m not talking about your in-laws! Be nice; it’s a holiday!

I can’t mention this simple, delicious, easy pepper jelly and cream cheese dip enough. It’s just so absolutely wonderfully delicious and so absolutely wonderfully easy to make!

Just soften a brick of cream cheese or Neufchatel – I can’t tell the difference, honestly – and pour a jar of your favorite Texas Pepper Jelly over it. Arrange crackers all around the tray and stand back, because your family and guests will go for it like piranha on a cow’s hind leg.

You know, I bought an extra brick of Neufchatel today. Maybe I should open one of my few remaining jars of pepper jelly and try it out, you know, to make sure it’s okay, but more likely as not to make sure I get my fair share of yummy goodness.

In fact, the more I think about it, the better I like this idea. Nobody will ever know, for none of you will tell, will you. . . . .

If you want to get all fancy, mix the pepper jelly with some barbecue sauce and pour THAT over your cream cheese. Holy cow, it’s so good I can’t stand it!

Texas Tips: Our Gift Assortments Are Wayyyy Superior to The Others!

Thanksgiving is next week, friends, and it’s time to start thinking seriously about the holidays.

Texas Pepper Jelly products are ideal for any occasion, whether you’re hosting a big family reunion, TexasChristmasa party, or just sitting around by yourself watching TV! Whenever we have guests, I set out a “cracker tray” with cream cheese and pepper jelly in the middle. So far, everyone has loved it! Remember, just because a recipe is really, really simple, doesn’t mean it’s not as delicious as something you labored over for days. Cream cheese and Texas Pepper Jelly is one of the easiest and best dips EVER. How easy is it to make? It’s so simple it’s almost unbelievable: pour some pepper jelly over a block of cream cheese and dip crackers into it!

As I’ve done for the past couple of years, I’ll be ordering some Texas Pepper Jelly assortment tins, too. They’re an ideal gift! Texas Pepper Jelly gift assortments are better than any others, too. there are many reasons for that, the main one being the taste and quality of our product, but there’s another reason, too.

sleightin2smNow, with most companies’ offerings of “assortments” of their product, the choice isn’t the customers’ choice. The selections of product are made in-house and the customer chooses the assortment that comes closest to his/her personal wants.

What’s Cookin’ Wednesday: Mmmmm, Leftovers Yet To Come

Craig Sharry | November 17, 2010

ribcandysm In just a few days – okay, a week – we’ll all have some awesome leftovers on our hands. They won’t last long, but they’ll disappear even more quickly if you lay them out on the table with a few bottles and jars of Texas Pepper Jelly products.

I know I can’t wait to try some Rib Candy on a turkey sandwich. Oh, and my kids? Last year they were dipping leftover dressing in various Texas Pepper Jellies and loving it. I am assuming that this year they’ll want to do the same.

I suppose some people might think it’s silly to be thinking ahead to leftovers when the actual feast hasn’t even happened yet, but in my family, leftovers from any kind of meal are “every man for himself,” and the Thanksgiving feast is even more cutthroat on the day after.

I need to order some more products. I especially want to get my hands on the new product: Cranberry Habanero. My kids have instructed me to order at least three jars of it.
